Montessori gave us the beautiful idea that play is the work of the child. Reggio showed us the incredible possibilities of loose parts.

And somewhere in between is where the magic of teaching happens.

We don’t have to be only Montessori. Or only Reggio. Or only sensory, child-led, open-ended, play-based…

We get to learn from all of it. To take the pieces that speak to us. To notice what speaks to the children in front of us. And to thoughtfully weave them together into something that is uniquely ours.

There are so many beautiful ways for children to play, explore, create and learn.

Our job is to keep learning too. 🤎
