Sensory play is one of those things we know is SO good for children… but the mess can make us want to keep that sensory table closed. 😅

But sensory play supports regulation, fine motor development, problem solving, creativity, language, and so much hands-on learning. And it doesn’t have to mean your classroom turning into a sandbox by the end of morning play.

A few intentional choices can make all the difference: -use less material -give children a purpose for their play -teach cleanup from the beginning -follow my simple sensory play recipe: Sensory base + loose parts + task + inspiration.

And with these five simple tips, you can keep the mess contained and manageable—so opening the sensory table doesn’t feel quite so overwhelming.

Because sensory play is worth it. 🤎 Save this for your next sensory table setup. #sensoryplay #sensorytable
