Reframing behavior as an “OOPS” moment teaches a child three powerful things:

1. I am not my behavior. I made the wrong choice, but that choice does not define who I am.

2. I can fix my mistake. I can take responsibility, make it right, and try again.

3. I am loved even though I made the wrong choice. My Morah is there for me even when I make mistakes.

And that’s the message of Yom Kippur.

We make mistakes. We have "OOPS" moments. We make choices we wish we could do differently.

But we are not our mistakes.

We can do teshuvah. We can repair. We can choose differently next time.

And Hashem is by our side—even in those "OOPS" moments.

I am not my mistake. I can make it right. And I am still loved.

That’s the power of an OOPS moment. And that’s the gift of Yom Kippur. 🤎
