Sometimes the “circle time behavior” isn’t really about the child.

It might be the rug that’s too small. The chair they’re sliding off of. The child sitting beside you who has to twist their whole body just to see. The busy wall competing for their attention. Or simply not having the kind of seating their body needs.

Before we ask a child to sit still, focus, and participate, we have to make sure the environment is actually helping them do that.

Small changes to your circle time setup can make a really big difference.
