Slow yourself first. Shift something in the environment. Lower your voice instead of raising it. Give energetic bodies a purposeful job. Sing the directions instead of calling them across the room.
The goal was never a perfectly quiet, perfectly calm classroom. Children are supposed to have energy. Sometimes they just need us to help that energy find somewhere to go. 🤎 #connectedclassroom #childledlearning
